Making listenable loop-based music takes a lot of work.  To keep it interesting, you either need to create a loop with a couple decent variations and then throw some vocals on top for distraction, or you need to constantly pump in new hooks, strategically removing and adding back in the things you want to hear, and also switching, with varying degrees of abruptness, to new layers that take the music in an unexpected direction.*  I haven’t yet made anything that does this well.  Here’s the one I’m working on now.

Still need at least 3 or four more variations and a new melody or two if I want to add vocals, and maybe a dozen new parts if it’s going to stand up on its own.  Which, all i’m saying is, it’s a lot to do.  So I’m challenging myself, here, in public, to do it.  Updates to come.

It’s OK that we didn’t get to see each other. I had four bicycles to move. You had to learn how to sing. My dancing WAS sad, like you said with the knees. Models are starting to hold themselves more. We can adapt. Give us more chances,  you believe in radio. Even English teachers need proof again. How else do we already know? It’s easy, and surely all in the library. There are stories and strategies for each and every uncle we’ll see today. Grease it up, push it. It’s a manual.

Now that’s what a real grace period looks like. To me. These things are such a relief.
